Cakes and biscuits were very, very delicious ... only the service shines with its absolute unfriendliness

Christmas without pastries from Cafe Eigel doesn't work at all. I love the dark tree cake corners.

So unfriendly staff. In my opinion, only average cakes, some with canned fruit at these prices. Better to go to the many small cafes in town. There they are still trying.

The cake is very good. The service is a bit lame so only 4 stars. Unfortunately, that's the way it is today!

Almost empty restaurant !! The waitress stands in the corner and discusses who should serve, everything in front of the customers, apparently nobody wanted to work! Super nice service, very tasty raspberry cream.

Very fine address for exquisite confectionery, baked goods, cakes, macaroons and the best types of coffee. The staff are very, very courteous and friendly. The ambience is romantic, clean, tidy .... Somehow I felt really comfortable in the coffee shop.

Good Cake

We had a good breakfast here with a delicious croissant, a raisin bun and delicious strawberry jam, apricot jam and butter. Cappuccino and Latte Machhiato were hot and delicious. Very friendly staff.

I can only agree with the other bad comments. Rude staff! My apparently pregnant girlfriend the toilet was refused today. The employee referred to her specifications and asked us to buy something first. The employee did not move away from this principle even when my friend pointed out the urgency of her need due to her pregnancy!

I had breakfast here with a friend and it was really great! The service was totally friendly and the breakfast was great! Very fair prices in the middle of the city center and a good selection. If we are back in Cologne we will always come here for breakfast, highly recommended!

Bakery with spacious lunchroom (lots of seating). Looks modern but is not really. The cakes look very nice (see photo) really something for gourmets. In the lunchroom, the service runs from hot to her and addressing someone to place your order is a sport. The tomato soup (with a hefty dash of cream as it should be) is very tasty. The "chef's salad" was less. A little unimaginative. It looked nice, but only basil vinegar was used as a dressing, making it a sour bite. The cheese strips unfortunately had a flat taste. Kidney beans and corn from a can and 4 sliced ​​cherry tomatoes. Not recommended. The dishes had to remain on the table because otherwise the service would not know what you had eaten. Handwritten notes are still being used. Next time only coffee with cake, they are good at that. ?

Classic German cafe with incredible cakes. Perfect place to stop when in Cologne. I had a chocolate tart that had a surprise raspberry base and my colleague had a vegan chocolate slice. Pleasant service, lots of seating and great atmosphere. I recommend.

Right in the center of Cologne is this really great cafe with delicious pies! The service was very friendly and there are many tables there. But it is also very well visited. There is a very large selection of pies and pastries. In addition, there is a menu with delicious soups, lunches or ice cream. A place where you can stay well in the cold winter days.

Great location and good service, but I think it's almost insulting to charge 50 cents for the toilet when the prices on the menu are anything but cheap. It makes it feel like a train station.

Tasty cakes and coffee, wide variety of desserts, cosy interior, friendly staff. I only wish it could be a bit cheaper.

Stopped here for the ritual afternoin coffee and cake. You make your cake selection on the way in and are given a ticket and it is then served with the drink of your choice. The choice of cakes is amazing.

Nice place in the center of Köln. The service was great; efficient and kind. Awesome cakes (we tried the chocolate mousse cake and was one of the best cakes I've ever tasted!!!! =

It was a great surprise. The attendant was very kind and she even tried to help us choosing our breakfast even though we don't speak german. The pie cream was light and the krapfen was delicious.

It is not the cosiest café but the cakes are very good. It is rather pricey.

Came here after enjoying the Christmas market. Nice enough place for drinking coffee or tea (with/without cakes).
